Look down a little on this page and you'll find a heading of "Squeaks From Speedo". This will tell you more about this. I'm starting to have the same problem and I'm worried because I have hit 750 miles without service, even though I changed the oil at 620 miles. I'm hoping it's the screw in the speedometer, but when I put my hand on it while riding, it didn't stop the noise.
